Just wanted to say a big “thanks” for your book, Wise Heart, you gave me last year. At the time it was just after I’d had baby and I was on “mum” time so I didn’t read it BUT now I’ve got the “balance” back in my life it was a must read for me.
I was pleased to read that a lot of what you’ve spoken about in the book, are principles I’ve applied to my business and personal life BUT there are a few things that are really going to help me grow going forward. For example “not feeling guilty about being a mum and a business woman”. My original idea was that when we had baby I’d have 2 years off being mum, at the time I wasn’t sure why those around me said they can’t see me doing that, I thought it would be great! As plans worked out the day our motel sale went unconditional was the day we booked a session with our business development coach and haven’t looked back since.
I must admit I’m sooooooo glad that I didn’t commit to the role of being “just mum”. I remember saying to Brent before we sold Arena Lodge that I couldn’t wait to be in our own home and only having my family to look after and cooking him nice meals. Gee if that was all that was taking up my thinking space I’d be a little unhealthy by now!!
So “thank you” for your book, I think it is FANTASTIC!!
