Twenty 10 or two thousand and 10 – which way have you approached describing this year? Think about this:

Twenty Ten - for those who use this terminology – Could be seen to be a bit more upbeat, ready for things to happen, likes the feeling even numbers means positive focused year ahead. This person loves a challenge, has a smile that can win over negotiations and risk can be their second name. They are go–getters and they get going!

Two Thousand and Ten – for those who use this terminology – a bit more conservative yet sharp with the eye for a good business deal – stealthy in their talk and quick thinkers – like to have the facts first and enjoy using the word “why” in their questioning to peel back the layers of information. They achieve with a bit more time to consider facts.

Which-ever way you approach 2010 – get ready for a year of complete and utter exhilaration with Oamaru Her Business – its time you were part of this!

Why being a network co-ordinator in Oamaru is just so powerful: I just love to do those detailed touches – you know – personalise any- thing I can for guests from small gifts in rooms, a her biz pen maybe, a night visit to the penguins after meetings - thru to meetings being more special with adding colour, my own locally sponsored gift bags, the odd surprise!

Networking is fun – You arrive at an Oamaru networking and you're immediately separated from friends and family – yes step outside your comfort zone and meet others – scary but definitely a winner by the end of the night! As one person told me – “ I wouldn’t even have spoken to other people if I stuck with my mates all night – thanks for stretching my comfort zone.

My favourite part of each network meeting is seeing the inspiration filter to the women attending – the eyes light up with that “Uh Huh moment” heads nodding in acknowlegement or simple little sighs or gasps from being engaged with the guest speakers words.

Why do I do it: why wouldn’t you when there is so much to gain from so many people.

Where will I be in a year’s time from now: I will definitely be in a warmer place if winter 2010 is worse than this year – guaranteed Atikaaki Rarotonga - watch out!!!

My favourite saying:
Your attitude is your altitude!
