March 2011 Over this past week, we as a nation have all been effected to what we saw, from the tragic events of last week, with the Christchurch earthquake. Through six degrees of separation, we all know of someone who has been directly effected by this event. I, myself have family and close friends in Chch, and from the Stretton Publishing family, the lovely Melissa our Christchurch franchise owner and her ladies in Christchurch all have been effected. I would like to send you, my deepest love and concern, we are thinking of you during this time. With the March event, I would like to invite you all to bring one tin of canned food, or a food item that can be shipped up to Christchurch. A portion of sales from the event will be donated through to the Christchurch earthquake appeal, as well. Last Friday, was outstanding! Outstanding has to be one of the many words to describe the keynote speaking of Amy Scott, and to Cindy from Multipeak Fitness who was a fab opening speaker. The feedback has been overwhelming, it seems that everyone was hanging onto every last word, Amy really capsulated the audience and had lots to share through her talk. Thanks to Hannah Beentjes, from DScene, Niki Trull from the Mercure Hotel and Carolyn Edwards from Otago Accountants for their support and delivering a great event. This month all the way from Wellington, we have the dynamic and very driven Laura Humphreys, who has not only been successful with one business, but is now three businesses on, and still wanting more! Her first company was an award winning advertising agency which she sold to the international Ogilvy Group and became a multi-millionaire, her second an award winning, nationwide pet care company that's so systemized its owners only have to work a few hours a week.
