Baby Bloom Feedback

Feedback from Palmerston North Bloom Forum:

Thank you for the wonderful Bloom Forum! For me I enjoyed the tips to drive your business. They were clear simple steps to confirm the actions that I have in place and a reminder to improve some steps. I will now set up my business data base and use it. So much talent to assist in growing my business. Thank you again for energy, sharing your time and knowledge.

Thank you for the practical, no nonsense, self experienced, proven, advice. Motivating, captivating and inspirational! I’ve absorbed... its just business, not personal with dealing with things which can be difficult in a small town. Annah I could have listened to for hours.
Thanks Annah, I’m going to enter in the Bloom awards next year!!!! Game on!

Thank you for an enjoyable day. I enjoyed today because it was all just good practical advice that was
given. I also loved the use of the "Mums" for the cameos. They were so honest, I could relate to them!!!
I attended Bloom last year and probably found today better. It added more value to my business on a local level, I touched base with more people that could make a difference. There was some real energy in that room.

Thank you for a fantastic forum. Bloom is about great business. Woman and great business can be in the same sentence. It’s empowering to see both coexist. For me that’s you Annah.
It’s clarity – there is no blur – it looks, sounds and acts like this. It works and it’s totally doable!

Thank you for travelling to Palmerston North today. I really enjoyed my day. Even though I found doing my 60 sec introduction nerve racking I think it was a great way to start the day as it gave you an opportunity to decide which attendees you wanted to make sure you meet up with.
I am also motivated after the day to work on my networking skills more – developing a better more polished 60 sec introduction.

The breaks were so full of meeting incredible local women, hearing their stories, sharing ideas and communicating with them about what I do. Today was fantastic. The quality of the event and the quantity of learning and inspiring that occurred.
I thought the speakers were fantastic. They were diverse in their backgrounds, and we all could learn something from each one of them, however they also seemed to all have similar key messages. Hearing these messages from different perspectives really hammered home what matters.
When I got home this evening I felt like a bus had hit me, in the most positive way a bus could possibly hit someone. I felt like I was reeling from so many ideas, so much inspiration, so many possibilities. It's taken me until now to actually have the calmness to actually sit down and write.
Thank you for the stories you shared today and for challenging my thoughts and beliefs, and thank you for being the driving force behind these events.

Yesterday’s bloom Forum fulfilled for me the expectations created in the flyer inviting us to register in the following ways:
• Real people sharing what works
• Real platform for us to build our own business
• Take home strategies that one feels confident in applying over time
• Opportunity to network with local women Ambrose and Mike good
• Opportunity to deliver key messages about our business in 60 seconds
• Well balanced programme delivered in a timely manner
• Great food from Hester’s team
• Good to have different voices
I particularly liked hearing you again Annah. I thought your three slots were well judged in their content. It was good to hear your story again but with new insights for me. I like the way you talk about learning from mistakes and failure, yet your real interest in grass roots women and making yourself available in so many ways to mentor and help people.
I liked the emphasis on giving back – I am intrigued how many people today who have been involved in making money are finding the spirit of volunteering such a ‘new thing’. It’s great because so much of our future as we age needs to be finding work that is fun and is not necessarily about making money. I love hearing your talk about legacy planning now.

Feedback from Christchurch Bloom Forum:

‘It is said that an investment in your education is one of, if not the best investment you can ever make and I agree.
The key however lies in knowing what courses, conferences and seminars are going to provide the best and more importantly most relevant information for you.

If you are a woman in business I would suggest it comes down to one word – Bloom!

Don’t try and do it all alone, invest in a Bloom conference and learn from those who have been there, done it AND succeeded! Build your networks, gain powerful knowledge and move your business forward, I did!’

‘Not only was your presentation entertaining, keeping us focused and listening, also full of information that will not only take our businesses a gear up but into a full four-wheel drive.
The biggest shift for me was not settling for mediocre and taking full control of my destiny with my business. I am an intelligent woman but have definitely taken the passenger seat when I have chosen to believe it is out of my hands. Your story from dealing with small retailers to being the retailer has shifted a belief in me that is going to move my business in ways I am so excited about. I have an issue with my agents and have accepted it up until NOW.
In the giftware and homeware stores industry agents do not list themselves and decent ones are hard to find. I would like to learn more about the 'showroom' setup you mentioned designers utilise to get their products out to retailers and look at this model for duplicating. I already have put pen to paper on who I would look at approaching in regards to other suppliers/wholesalers and some concepts of structure, costs, commission etc.
Again my sincere thanks that someone of your success and calibre gives us such invaluable time.’

‘I'm one of those high energy people with lots of passion and drive, and not so much of the direction, but thanks to your inspirational, practical advice
I've already made changes.
I now have a mentor and have learned to ask for help to get where I want to be - so now my BNI group (at 7am this morning) and my colleagues know my mission and what they can do to help. Next time I speak at Her Business I'll get the other chicks to help me out too!
So, thank you again for not just giving useful information, but doing it in a way that it has inspired me to follow through rather than just let the buzz fade.’

‘I'd just like to say a huge thank you for yesterday's amazing, inspiring and informative forum here in Christchurch. I could wax lyrical for ages but am researching and sourcing a mentor or two! I had thought for a wee while that I probably needed one but after hearing what you said yesterday I realise there is no ‘probably’ about it - I definitely MUST have one!
I am sure that the next forum will have a waiting list and will sell out extremely quickly so I will have to register early!’

‘I just wanted to say well done on organising such a great event. I really enjoyed it – a lot more than I was expecting!
It was so good to be in an environment of such positive and enthusiastic women and I found the speakers, especially Annah and Susan, to be very inspirational making you realise that others also face hardships but they can be overcome with hard work and the right attitude.’

‘Thanks – you did a fantastic job. Annah is inspirational. I have only had my doors open in my new business for 2 months now and prior to this I was going running 3-4 mornings a week. With the pressures and long hours of the new business, I thought I was cutting myself some slack by not getting out of bed until 7am. Listening to Annah talk about discipline and her time management is the key thing I took away – I realised have to be fit and healthy for my business to continue to grow and thrive. So this morning I was out of bed and 6 (not 5 like Annah) and pounding the pavement and I really enjoyed it.
Thanks to you and Annah and Dame Susan – thoroughly down to earth and rock solid. Looking forward to the next Bloom!’
