Great Networkers:

  • Give time and share knowledge without expectations.
  • Have an abundant mentality and with this alone anything is possible.
  • Benefit through expanding their circle of friends and business associates.
  • Believe in making the pie bigger for everyone to share in.
  • Cross network with competitors and regularly give away referrals
  • Believe in the universal law of reciprocity; they know that what you give out comes back tenfold.

Her Magazine is the National Sponsor, Coordinator and Administer of the Her Business Networks nationally throughout New Zealand.

Meetings are informal, with networking, socialising, trading, mentoring and relaxing being the key ingredients. Successful role models educate and enlighten by speaking about their experiences and this is an empowering format facilitated part-time by Her Business Network Coordinators who operate their own successful businesses in your community.

Christchurch Bloom Forum gets great response

Her Business Network Christchurch held two very successful events in September; our first ‘Christchurch Baby Bloom’ full day event and our ‘Ladies Who Lunch & Learn’ lunchtime workshop on Motivating You and Your Team with Saskia Clements from Smiley Happy People.

Based on the overwhelmingly supportive feedback we’ve received our inaugural Christchurch Baby Bloom held on Wednesday 30 September with Annah Stretton, Pieter Stewart and Dame Susan Devoy as key note speakers lived up to all expectations. This full day event promised to educate, inspire and connect the delegates with some of Christchurch’s most successful business women and it certainly did that and more.

Pieter shared her story of how she founded and continues to manage the incredibly successful annual Air New Zealand Fashion Week while Dame Susan Devoy combined her very entertaining life story with some very valuable business tips all wrapped up with her own hilarious sense of humour.

Annah, in comparison, held two sessions packed full of top tips for running profitable, sustainable and highly successful businesses from both a professional and personal perspective. Her honest approach and infectious enthusiasm was a highlight of the day.

Additional to this the delegates all shared their own 60 second ‘elevator pitch’ to the group as well as meeting all the other delegates through a combination of formal and informal networking activities. The day ended in perfect style chatting with new friends over a glass of Kim Crawford chardonnay.

We thank our sponsors Hotel SO www.hotelso.co.nz, Westpac www.westpac.co.nz , Linden Leaves www.lindenleaves.co.nz, Perfect Day Floral & Event Design www.perfectday.co.nz, Kim Crawford Wines www.kimcrawfordwines.co.nz, and The Breeze Christchurch and encourage you to support them as they support us.

Our Her Business Network Christchurch ‘Inspirational Woman’ evening series is held on the last Wednesday of each month from 5.30 – 8pm at Hotel SO. Our ‘Ladies Who Lunch & Learn’ lunchtime workshop series is held on the second Wednesday of each month from midday – 2pm at Hotel SO. We encourage any ladies who seek to grow their business and their contacts through a relaxed, motivating and entertaining forum to come along to our very popular events.
