Firstly, thank you so much for The Bloom Conference, what a great forum to meet so many wonderful and talented people. I just wanted to let you know what a great networking experience I have had already form the conference.

I have a friend, Wayne Croft, who has terminal cancer and his insurance company won’t pay out. He hasn’t been able to work since last October and his wife was made redundant about 8 weeks ago. Money is very stressful on them, they can’t afford to pay for chemotherapy that may lengthen his life, to eat properly or pay their bills and basically have any fun in life.

I couldn’t stand to see someone dying like this so decided to do a fundraiser for him. I asked Amy Scott from Red Gumboot Consulting, who I only just met at the Bloom Conference, if she would help me. She said she would love to, so this lovely lady who I didn’t even know a month ago is helping my friend for free - how amazing is that.

We are having a fundraiser evening in Christchurch on the 29th July. We have had his story in the Christchurch Press and it is going in the Sunday Times and he is being interviewed on radio and by Campbell Live this week, so all go. Our intention is to do a tour around New Zealand with this, to raise awareness of what can happen in people’s life’s, and to raise more money for Wayne.

If you know of any free venues we might be able to get in your area to use for an evening that would be great, or it might make a good story for your magazine on what amazing things happen from your conference.

So once again thank you so much for the Bloom Conference where I met Amy and lots of other wonderful people.

I had a wonderful time at the conference and feel very inspired. Thanks for being part of my experience. I look forward to some really positive communications.

It seems the business has reached a level of sustainability as nothing collapsed whilst I was away. We did have our first major press release released on Friday – what timing! Of course not a lot came of it with such competition!

Hope all is going as well with everybody else. Christchurch is cold and grey but not in our offices!
