Shares how valuable being part of the awards has been ...

“The process of putting together the application to enter the Her Business, Business Woman of the Year awards provided me with an opportunity to take time out from daily business issues and reflect on just where the business had come from and where we were aiming to be in the future.

The process highlighted both the business growth and the personal growth that I had experienced but had not been able to take the time to reflect on or articulate.

Winning the Best SME category was very exciting but winning the Business Woman of the Year title was over whelming. The win was shared with my family, friends and some of the staff who supported me at the dinner and I think the staff members attending were just as excited as I was. This was a win for them also, acknowledging the support and loyalty they had given me and the business over a very difficult time.

The win has provided me with the opportunity to grow my networks, especially amongst business women, and the prizes I received have resulted in attendance at seminars and workshops valuable to further growing the business.

Since my win I have been asked to attend a number of speaking engagements, once again forcing me outside my comfort zone.

I can highly recommend participating in these awards, winning has made all those difficult, doubting and trying moments in business worth the effort and I have been able to say to myself “yes I did it”.
