A woman with a background in high-end fashion retail standing in a pair of old overalls trying to get dye into wood curls - this was the blithe beginnings of Colyn Devereux-Kay’s Les Floralies.
In 1988, Devereux-Kay invested $800 of capital from her previous clothing manufacturing venture to begin production of her own pot-pourri line. This small investment later turned into a multi-million dollar company.

In August last year, the judges had an exceptionally difficult job of picking the top performer from a record number of entrants. Yule took out the honour with her in-home childcare service business, PORSE as well as the title of Most Outstanding Business Leader.
PORSE began in 1994, coinciding with the birth of her third child Rosa. At the time, there was Yule, her husband David, their son Robbie (then 10) and daughter Hannah (then 8).
